We bought this shoe for my mom who has a high instep. We were excited to find stylish shoes on innovate. The Apex Petal has one strap of velcro as a fastener, which is great because my mother cannot tie shoes and when her feet swell, they are easily adjusted. These shoes have great slip resistant tread and a cute pinhole design on the front. The 2 spacers are easily removed if adjustments are needed, especially because my mom has an orthotic for her right foot only. Great, sturdy shoes for all day walking, no breaking in is needed.
